Protect Health Care for Oregonians

A fringe group of lawmakers and anti-tax advocates are seeking to undermine Oregon’s health care progress by referring the bipartisan Medicaid funding mechanism called the provider tax to voters. The referral would jeopardize Oregon’s balanced budget and access to quality health care for nearly 1 million Oregonians.

By referring the provider tax to voters, they are essentially asking you to repeal Medicaid funding and force more uninsured Oregonians to seek care in costly and often unnecessary emergency settings, which we all pay for.

The Oregon Health Plan (OHP) covers nearly 1 million people and chances are you know, work with or have a family member who receives Medicaid coverage and will directly be affected by this referral. Get involved, be vocal and encourage your family and friends to #DeclinetoSign the provider tax referral.
